If you prefer to use a specific network interface of your programming device/PC to establish an online connection, you can preset this interface. The specified connection path is then already selected in the dialogs for online connection.
Procedure
To specify a default connection path, follow these steps:

Select the "Settings" command in the "Options" menu.
The settings of the TIA Portal are opened.

Select the "Online & Diagnostics" entry in the area navigation.

In the "Preset connection path for online access" area, specify the type of the PG/PC interface as well as the interface itself.

Enable or disable the check box "Display dialog for setting the default connection path for online access".

If you select the check box, a dialog is displayed when establishing an online connection. In this dialog, you can select whether a new connection path should be preset.

If you clear the check box, the dialog is not displayed when establishing an online connection.
