"Activate Web server" option
The CP provides you with the functionality of a web server for access by means of a web browser. HTML pages with information and diagnostics functions are stored in the memory area of the CP for this.
Enable this option in order to obtain access to these HTML pages in the Web server of the CPU. When you enable the function, port 80 of the CP is released.
Web server access is enabled by default.
Web diagnostic options (availability depends on the CP type)
-
"Display topology" option
The option allows the display of topology information for the networked PROFINET IO interfaces of the CP in the Web server.
To collect and store the topology information, additional memory is taken up on the CP. With complex project configurations making high demands on the memory resources, it may therefore be advisable to activate the option only temporarily for service purposes.
-
"Download firmware via Web" option
By enabling the option, the function for downloading the firmware of the CP from the download center is enabled in the Web server.
This option is not restricted by the user administration if security is disabled. It is therefore recommended that the option is enabled only when required.
-
"Reload of language files for the diagnostics displays via Web" option
Diagnostics displays of the CPs are shown in plain language in the Web diagnostics buffer. These displays are language-specific.
If you enable the option, the function for reloading missing language files from the download center is enabled in the Web server.
Automatic update / "Update interval"
If you select the "Enable" option, the CP updates the displayed Web pages at the selected intervals.
Range of values for the update interval 1 to 999 s
