Block-related alarms and diagnostic alarms
The options act as filters so that you can set the specific type of alarm that can arrive via the S7 connection.
The communication partner generates block-related alarms with the Alarm_8, Alarm_S or Alarm_SQ blocks.
Block-related alarms can be signaled
-
As conditional events
-
As simple events (simple events for compatibility with older applications that do not generally expect conditional events).
If you select "Block-related alarms", the OPC server then registers for alarm messages on this connection. The received alarms are transferred via the Alarms&Events OPC interface.
Diagnostic alarms are derived from the system status list (SSL) of the S7 device. Diagnostic events that have not yet been reported to the OPC client are reported if it has registered for diagnostic alarms. Diagnostic events have no status and do not therefore need to be acknowledged.
Functions to set the priority for single alarm messages and diagnostics alarms can be reached via the area navigation.
