TSAP format
ISO-on-TCP connections have a TSAP length of 1 to 16 bytes. When you are entering values, the current length is displayed automatically. You can enter local TSAPs and partner TSAPs as a hexadecimal value or as an ASCII string. If you opt for ASCII, the characters you enter are also displayed in hexadecimal format. If you enter them in hexadecimal, any printable characters are displayed as ASCII values (8 hexadecimal characters are visible). If you enter non-printing characters, the ASCII display is disabled (ASCII entry is no longer possible), and the non-printing characters appear as dots.

Note TSAP length Do not use length 1 or 2 TSAPs, as these TSAPs are already used for internal purposes. |
Local TSAPs and partner TSAPs
Partner and local TSAPs may be the same, since the connection is unique due to the different IP addresses. If you have to set up more than one connection between two devices, then the TSAPs must also be different.
Default TSAPs
For configuring the local and partner TSAPs, there is an "ISO-on-TCP-1" default value for the first connection between two partners (can be changed). The default value "ISO-on-TCP-2" is then suggested for a new connection between the same partners. ISO-on-TCP-1 is then suggested for a new connection with a new partner.
